Non-Emergency Medical Transportation for Patients

In 2001, Center for Community Building, Inc., under contract to Hamilton Health Center, began providing non-emergency patient transportation services. Since then, we have provided more than 10,000 non-emergency medical and dental passenger trips.

We continue to provide patient transport for Hamilton Health Center, Inc. to improve access and coordination of health care services for Dauphin County residents.

In 2005, Center for Community Building, Inc. became the Eligibility Center (EC) for Dauphin County's Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP). The EC is the single point of contact for all Medical Assistance (MA) non-emergency transportation services and is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, transportation services are available evenings, weekends, and holidays based on a preset transportation schedule.

Our staff works collaboratively with other community partners to coordinate services in order to address as many of the clients' needs as possible in an effort to promote the overall health and well-being of clients using the MATP transportation system.

Serving Your Specific Needs

Center for Community Building, Inc.'s staff is sensitive to the needs of the areas' diverse population and has bilingual capacity in English, Spanish, and other languages as necessary, using a language line. Our office's location is handicap accessible. However, most of the client contact is done via telephone, mail, or other electronic means.

We provide mobility management services for Dauphin County, coordinating non-emergency medical trips for some 30,000 residents to enable them to access medical care.
